Music has been a pretty big part of my life for quite some time. Over the years I’ve branched out quite a bit and typically listen to ecclectic music anymore, but do have an appreciation for most things.
I’m not quite feeling inspired to write a whole entry about music at the moment, but thought someone might want to see the type of music I listen to.
If you’d like to do that, you can check out my mp3 playlist here. Yes, I do own most of this stuff on CD, actually. I’m kind of anal about sound quality and prefer to rip my own music instead of downloading the crap on the net that someone ripped with Xing or Windows Media Player at 128K or less.
Lately I’ve been mostly listening to hip-hop, and some various forms between acid jazz, hip-hop, and electronica. I don’t think many people realize it, but there is a huge difference between the crap top 40 rap songs that you hear on the radio, and good hip-hop. Perhaps I’ll write about it sometime, though I certainly don’t consider myself an expert.
