I was going through my radio presets the other day, and to my surprise, one of them was playing a Country song. Those of you that know me know you’d never catch me straying into that realm other than something such as Johnny Cash or perhaps Patsy Cline.
Much to my dismay, it dawned on me that the station which had changed to Country was Denver’s short lived dance station, 102.1X. I didn’t think it would make it since they never had any commercials, but being right about that is bittersweet.
Don’t be me wrong, I wasn’t a huge fan, but it was nice to tune into every now and then to listen to something different. As far as Techno/Electronica goes, I used to listen to a lot of Trance and old school Techno, but not so much anymore. I do like a bit of House from time to time, and some of the songs they played, though on a small playlist, were nice to listen to from time to time.
I won’t go off on yet another Clear Channel rant, but dammit, Denver Radio Sucks.
ah yes i heard about this… it deeply saddened me to learn that a dance station has fallen to the mercy of the all-mighty country genre here in Colorado… very sad
