My heart dropped just a few minutes ago when I recieved an e-mail from the Colorado Sportbike club.
This is what was in the e-mail:
Jessica (red SV650S rider, also known as PurpleFeet on sportbikes.com) was killed in an accident trying to avoid a herd of cattle that had wandered onto the road. No one saw it actually happen however the group she was with (not CSC) came upon it moments afterwards. She was wearing full gear. Of course anyone who knew her, remembers Jess to be a very safe rider, so we can only assume this was a freak occurance. However her love of riding and outgoing, friendly nature made her a great person, and she will be missed. The thread on the board is here:

It always sucks when a fellow rider dies, but the thing that took the wind out of me is that she was supposed to go riding with John and I last weekend.

Now that I just saw some pictures of her and her bike, I’m truly saddened. I now realize that I ran into her at a restaurant a couple of weekends ago during the group ride I did with the R6 guys…
