Stupid Lingo Router

04Aug05

So if you got a login and password prompt when you came to my site, my stupid Lingo router flaked-out. I’m still not even sure what the problem was.. after messing around with it and hard rebooting it, it finally fixed itself. So yeah, the site is back now. ;)

Just found this post, and was wondering how you configured the lingo router to let a webserver run through it?

My current setup: Cable Modem -> Lingo Router -> PC/Server

After long infuriating discussions with Lingo (a few months ago) I was still never able to get the router configured to allow traffic over Port 80. Their login/config page wanted Port 80, and there was no way to change that.

If I’m following what you implied, you’re actually serving everything through the Lingo router… how’d you do that?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jonathan
