Granted it ends in October, but…
I’m not sure if our building management company at work is retarded, or just as ignorant as the average Joe, but I just came across a sign noting that they are having an Oktoberfest party in a couple of weeks. They seem to have a knack for bastardizing any sort of holiday which is something observed in another country, and fail to realize any of the history of a given event. Generally I think St. Patricks day is easily the most bastardized holiday in the US, but it’s certainly not alone.
Maybe they’ll have some orange frosted cookies in the shape of October or something.
