Gish is still one of my all-time favorites.

My question is: Are D'arcy and James actually involved, or is Billy just calling himself "Smashing Pumpkins"?

Yeah, I'm certainly not into them as much as I used to be.. I guess they were one of my favorite bands back in the day as well as probably the best concert I've seen. More of a nostalgia thing for me really.

I was disappointed when Adore came-out, but eventually grew to like it once they released more material and it was obvious they were just all over the board, not trying to go in any particular direction.

Did you ever download their last album? There are some killer tracks on it, and it was technically free.

Heh, that's weird. I was just wondering what they were up to yesterday, since I was listening to a podcast from Viking Youth Power Hour in which they interview Flaming Lips' biographer. For whatever reason, Billy Corgan's name kept coming up - usually not in a good way. I do agree the guy is probably a big a-hole, he has some fantastic output.

Their first disc I liked especially, and the track Mayonaise (sp?) from their breakthrough album. A lot of people hated them when they delved into electronica on Adore, but I actually liked that album.
